For past the past few weeks in teaching my Turbo Kick classes I have found that people want to lose weight, but they do not want to sacrifice anything. It’s crazy that people want to accomplish something, but are not willing to put in the work to get it done. I started out at 257lbs. it didn’t take little work to get that done. I had to adjust my nutrition and there were times I fell off the bandwagon, but I kept going.
I hear people say it’s my eating or is they ask me is Turbo Kick hard. I have discovered in anything in life you have to work hard at it, especially when you have struggled with food and weight. You have to put in hard work to get the desired goals that you want.
I hear people complaining about being sore after workouts and they don’t want to be sore. They expect to do a little step here and there eat junk food all day and voila! All their weight has magically disappeared and they are looking like The Next Top Model, please! If it was that easy we would all look like Heidi Klum or Naomi Campbell.
I did not lose the weight that I have thus far by doing a few steps with light beads of sweat across my forehead. I put on 257lbs of weight so guess what I had to put in the work to get if off. As the song, “Work Hard, Play Hard,” by Wiz Khalifa, I work hard to eat hard. I must admit I do fuel my body more with nutritional food than I used to, but I now have the knowledge it takes to properly fuel my body and eat 5-6, sometimes 7 meals of day and I feel great, I am not starving, and I am still losing weight and meeting my weight loss goals.
If you know you have a lot of weight to lose or even the last 5-10lbs, put the excuses to rest and get to work. You can do and accomplish whatever you want, but you must decide and commit, the results will not come overnight, but they will come and they will be well worth it.
